Of course, the story couldn’t be incriminating to Joe, so he made various changes.

Bronte recognized that someone had tampered with Beck’s writing, which led her to investigate Joe Goldberg.
At gunpoint, she forced Joe to come clean about the changes he made toThe Dark Face of Love.

He said this was the last thing they created together and considered it a representation of their love.
Of course, this was utterly misguided.
Bronte set out inYouseason 5 to avenge Beck, and she was certainly successful.
