Interestingly enough,Storm of the Centuryisnt adapted from an existing King short story or novel.
Instead, King wrote the show for television himself, making it uniquely suited to the medium.
The isolated location calls to mindThe Mist, while the supernatural villain is reminiscent ofThe Stands Randall Flagg.
Instead,Storm of the Centurymanages to find a balance and gets the best of both worlds.
IfWelcome to Derrylives up to its potential, the show could be even better thanStorm of the Century.
