American Primeval is a Western miniseries with plenty of grit and action to make up for its character faults.
However, it is also entirely possible that Devin’s leg was injured prior to the events ofAmerican Primeval.
After all,Devin and Sara traveled to the Utah Territory from Boston before the pilot.
Then, they give him some medication that is meant to help heal the injury.
Isaac and Sara then leave for a while, with Two Moons watching over Devin.
