But the ‘68 Special marked the beginning of the decline of their relationship.

As part of the deal, Parker included a $50,000 per year “consultant” fee.

As Presley’s health deteriorated under the weight of prescription drugs, the two men drifted apart.

Despite this, Parker continued to consult with Hilton Hotels until his death.
