The trailer reveals nine newvideo game characters joiningTwisted Metalseason 2, including individuals from different games across the franchise.
Perhaps the most anticipated addition is Axel, who appears in every Twisted Metal game except for the original.
Though his backstory has changed drastically, the depiction of Axel in the games has remained relatively consistent.
A man is attached by his arms to two gigantic wheels with machine guns.
Sometimes, hes standing on a platform, and other times, he wears a waist harness.
However, in every iteration, his body is left unprotected.

Luckily, they seem to have figured it out because his appearance in theTwisted Metalseason 2 trailer looks epic.
Axel and his wheels are first visible in the very background of the wide shot of all the vehicles.
Additionally, Axel is teased at the end, locking his hand into the wheel through a metal gauntlet.
The only part covered by metal is his hand, leaving his forearm bare.
Anthony Carrigans version of [Calypso] has the gravitas and appearance ofTwisted Metal 2andTwisted Metal (2012).
The show also provides a fun take on Granny Dread and Miranda Watts.
They completely refreshed Granny Dread’s look, making her look like an edgy hippy in the TV show.
I felt a thrill watching her drive Twister, and Im hoping shell reprise the role inTwisted Metalseason 2.
The trailer forTwisted Metalseason 2 provided the first glimpse of Calypso, the franchises primary villain.
Anthony Carrigans version of the powerful character has the gravitas and appearance ofTwisted Metal 2andTwisted Metal (2012).
