As popular and successful asYellowstoneis, however, it’s still not Sheridan’s best work.
Aside fromSicario: Day of the Soldado, most of Sheridan’s movies are standalone, original stories.
Sicario,Hell or High Water, andWind Riverbasically function as a series because of their thematic similarities.
TheYellowstonefranchise has a few problems, whereas “American Frontier” is nearly flawless.
There isn’t a single beat Sheridan misses throughout “American Frontier.”
It would make a lot of sense, thematically, for Sheridan to return to “American Frontier.”
