Luckily for Annie and Ty, both kids are delighted to see the two finally get together.
It is as “Get Freaky” comes to an abrupt end that this twist is revealed.

The episode then concludes with Maddie descending the stairs in her wedding dress.
As Kyle skates around the roller rink, the song “Liberty” can be heard in the background.
The somber tone of the song is perfectly suited to the circumstances.
In Helen’s case, this is with Erik, her ex-boyfriend who becomes her fiance in season 4.
For Dana Sue and Maddie, they are with their husbands and their children as the song plays.
This is perhaps why the song plays earlier in the episode and again right at the very end.
This specifically came after the pastor, June, went into labor and had to leave the Christmas service.
