Due to the tape,Hannah’s daughter seemingly knows about her mother’s death.
This means she has heard the horrific audio that recorded her mother’s final moments.
The tape is proof of what really happened in the wilderness and of the horrors committed by the survivors.

Being close to Hannah means that she could have entrusted the tape to either one of the teenage survivors.
Gen was recast for season 3 and was played by Mya Lowe in seasons 1 and 2.
In previous seasons, Melissa and Gen were survivors who did not receive much focus or character development.
