Redemption is the name of the game in theCobra Kaifranchise since prior bad-boy Johnny Lawrence is the central protagonist.
Audiences are officially rooting for Chozen and his happiness, and this has now carried over to Sensei Kim.

However, this quickly evolved into romantic tension.
She had previously been a one-note characterwholly evil, and that was that.
The problem here is that Sensei Kim’s sudden concern for her students came out of nowhere.
Cobra Kai is a sequel series continuing the narrative of the Karate Kid saga, set 30 years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. It focuses on Johnny Lawrence seeking redemption by reopening the Cobra Kai dojo, reigniting his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso, who strives to maintain balance in his life.
Cobra Kaieffectively took Sensei Kim from being a one-note villain to a surprisingly likable badass.
Still,this character is on a much better trackleading up to the story’s end.
