The big mystery surrounds Charmaine, Jacks lover-turned-enemy-turned-friend.
One theory about the cliffhanger would further Mels story, if true, but could be too dark.
One dark theory byReddit user u/HauntsFromMyPastsuggests that Charmaine is actually dead.
Calvin has shown himself to be a violent man who exerts his will.
Its not out of the realm of possibility for him to murder someone.

The two are unbelievably excited at the prospect of having children.
Unfortunately, halfway throughVirgin Riverseason 5, she loses the baby.

But its much more complex than that.
If they take in her baby,the likelihood of them also raising Charmaines twins is low.
Luckily, the couple taking on the twins might not even be necessary based onCharmaines fate in theVirgin Riverbooks.
She doesnt die in the Robyn Carr novels.
It seems more likely that Charmaine will be alive to raise her own twins.
