WhileLogan and RorysGilmore Girlsseason 6 storywas pointless, this reunion was arguably even sillier.
Obviously, the pair sleep together at the end of season 6 after Lorelais explosive fight with Luke.
Earlier in the show, Luke often appeared in places where Rorys father, Christopher, should have been.
Subtly, this scene suggests that Christopher could still be the husband Luke seemingly wasnt able to be.
TheGilmore Girlsstory was executed poorly but did have sufficient foreshadowing and narrative justification.
