At least Staten is a wealthy ranch owner whose Kirkland name carries a lot of respect in the town.
That is, when he’s not striking up bar fights or drinking past his limit.
Staten is the brother-in-law of Davis Collins.
Although he gives Lucas a job as a ranch hand, he’s not related to him.
Staten’s father, Samuel, is a senator from Texas.

Nick’s mom is Angie, Quinn’s sister.
Davis and Yancy are not related but they colluded to manipulate Cap into selling his land.
Yancy was in prison for an unknown crime.
Formerly Reid Collins’s girlfriend,she ultimately chose Lucas Russell as her boyfriend.
Kit is also involved in some shady business to make ends meet.
Finally, she meets Yancy’s supposed wife in the final moments ofRansom Canyon.
