However, whether Depp’s Jack Sparrow will be included in the script is still unclear.
There have also been reports that two scripts are in the worksone with Jack and one without.
This is understandable, but it may just be time to move on.
However, when aPirates of the Caribbean6movie was confirmed,the Robbie spinoff was shelved.
Such an A-lister could bePirates of the Caribbean’s saving grace.
It would be a chance to rebuild the franchise into something new.
After all these years full of massive question marks, this is precisely what it needs.

Jack Sparrow is undoubtedly an excellent character, and Depp is the one who made him that way.
However, he’s more of a tall-tale folk hero than a dynamic protagonist.
His quirkiness has become predictable, and his moral ambiguity no longer puts audiences on their toes.

There could be some promise to this.

Disney needs a new angle, and Margot Robbie could absolutely be the key.
Unfortunately, waiting for Jack Sparrow’s return may only get in the way in the long run.
