Another iconic moment is the party scene where the Avengers gather around and attempt to lift Thor’s hammer.
However, his pure intentions were shownwhen Vision lifted Mjolnirand handed it to Thor.
The Avengers stood in silence, too shocked to address what they just saw.
I vividly remember sitting in the theater feeling the same way.
You could have heard a pin drop as audiences were just as stunned as the other Marvel heroes.
This scene also does an excellent job at establishing how powerful Vision is.
However, the Avengers never used it to their advantage again after this film.
Thor wasn’t inCivil War, and Vision wasn’t inEndgame.
While they were both in Wakanda inAvengers: Infinity War,Mjolnir was destroyed by Hela inThor: Ragnarok.
It showed that Vision was completely connected to the Mind Stone and taking it away made him weak.
He returned inWandaVisionbut wasn’t at full strength because he technically wasn’t real.
He could interact with things within the Westview dome, but Wanda could erase him whenever.
It also presents the first opportunity for him to interact with Thor sinceAvengers: Age of Ultron.
