Warning: Spoilers ahead forFuturamaseason 12, episode 6, “Attack of the Clothes.
However, theFuturamacastdoesn’t seem to be tasked with addressing the nail-biting conclusion any time soon.
If the story is ignored, then I see that as a massive waste of a high-concept sci-fi adventure.
The Hulu era ofFuturamahas done a great job of producing standalone adventuresthat are easy to view in isolation.
However, I really hope I’m wrong.

The alternative is to just ignore it, which I’d find more disappointing.
Professor Farnsworth invents a headless Frankenstein to win what is essentially a scientific talent show.
The episode’s final moment set up what was sure to be a big, time-travel-based, sci-fi-heavy solution.
I was so enthralled by the story that I hadn’t even realized the runtime was about to expire.
Hopefully, a second part does happen.
Plus, the title “Planet Espresso” strongly suggests a trip to another world.
That being said, I think such an eventuality is a little bit of a stretch.
Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait with everyone else to see whatFuturamadoes next.
Futurama follows the exploits of Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy from 1999 who is cryogenically frozen for 1000 years. Waking up in the year 3000, Fry befriends a cyclops named Leela and a roguish robot named Bender, and the three find employment with Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery service. Their work takes them to all corners of the universe, exploring space and the future as imagined by Matt Groening and the creators of The Simpsons.
