However, since bothSalem’s Lotinstallments (1979 and 2004) were released as TV movies, I suppose it’s only right that the 2024 version follows suit.

While it will still likely look great on Max at home,the atmosphere and visual style have both exceeded my expectations, making me wonder how great they would look on an actual theater screen.
The movie is currently listed as “completed”, which is something it hasn’t been able to say for quite some time, but perhaps Warner Bros. will want to reconsider its release strategy based on how much potential it now has.
There’s certainly still time for Warner Bros. to pivot from its anticipated straight-to-streaming release ofSalem’s Lot, and perhaps it will take into account the positive feedback based on its first-look photos.

While it may not be as big as a Stephen King movie asIT,Salem’s Lotcertainly has a degree of that appeal that could have resulted in a surprise box office hit for Warner Bros.
It’s hard to hide my disappointment in not even having the option to seeSalem’s Loton the big screen, but in this day and age, it’s understandable.
