Or at the very least, it would have taken many more years to make and looked very different.
However, when the task is reversed, things get a lot more complex.
The film is mind-bending and twisty, but with spies and villains facing off, it’sdefinitely Bond-esque.

If Nolan’s body of work proves anything, it’s that he does not need franchises.
It’s clear that Nolan can excel within a franchise, or without.
His work speaks for itself, and it earns the praise it so readily receives.
