The best part of “The Futurama Mystery Liberry” is the art style.
Each of the three segments contains a different artstyle, with the episode being a visual treat.
One of the biggest problems with the episode is its odd characterization of Leela.
Futurama follows the exploits of Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy from 1999 who is cryogenically frozen for 1000 years. Waking up in the year 3000, Fry befriends a cyclops named Leela and a roguish robot named Bender, and the three find employment with Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery service. Their work takes them to all corners of the universe, exploring space and the future as imagined by Matt Groening and the creators of The Simpsons.
However, the episode is also incredibly funny and clever, making it more than just a satire.
While not every episode can be an ensemble, it is almost always better when it is.
This makes the episode fun on a rewatch, but it is a bit confusing the first time through.
The best part of “Quids Game,” however, is its connection to Fry’s childhood.
