Netflix’sCobra Kaiwasn’t always fun and gamessometimes, the characters' stories took a tragic and deadly turn.
While these were primarily villains who seemingly had it coming, a couple of innocents simply suffered unforeseeable misfortune.
He helped Mike Barnes trash Mr. Miyagi’s Bonsai shop and helped the Cobra Kais torture Daniel.
De Guzman returned inCobra Kaiseason 6 when he kidnapped Daniel under Terry Silver’s orders.

However, De Guzman was ultimately fairly easy for Daniel to deal with.
De Guzman died inCobra Kaiseason 6, part 3 on Terry Silver’s yacht.
However, before De Guzman could make it far, John Kreese appeared and knocked him down the stairs.
Ultimately, it wasn’t all that important.
He became the Netflix series' most irredeemable bad guy, which naturally made Silver’s death deeply satisfying.
Ultimately, there was no love lost here.
This character was mentioned throughout theKarate Kidfranchise but was only officially introduced inCobra Kaiseason 5.
How can Terry Silver and Kreese’s karate master still be alive?
Clearly, Kim Sun-Yung is incredibly long-lived in Cobra Kai’s universe.
Though Turner was a tough leader, he saw potential in John Kreese.
He killed a hallucination of Johnny Lawrence, symbolically burying his final bits of humanity.
However,Johnny saving Kreese from Silver and Kwon’s death at the Sekai Taikai changed everything.
This led Kreese to realize what a negative impact he had had on Johnny’s life as well.
Kreese gave up his life to take down Terry Silver and protect Johnny’s family to earn redemption.
Kreese came to her rescue, and the two quickly fell in love.
Betsy’s death was tragic from every angle.
She was a young woman with a bright future ahead of her who died in a freak accident.
The fact that he attempted to use a knife against Axel proves this.
ThisCobra Kaitragedy was profoundly impactful and changed just about everything thereafter.
