However, the new version already has a big issue to deal with even before it has even started.
Can The X-Files Reboot Afford NOT To Bring Back The Original Mulder & Scully?
Without them attached, the reboot lacks a big draw to get people to watch the show.
They will, however, be aware of Gillian Anderson from her work in popular titles likeSex Education.
Disney also has the option to bring back Mulder and Scullybut have them played by different actors.
Scully herself doesn’t appear in five episodes.
This, in a small way, demonstrates thatThe X-Filescan work without both Mulder and Scully’s involvement.
However, it feels as though the characters and the stories about them have run their course.
Having them return again only to go over the same material would be a disservice to the characters.
Fear of moving on from what audiences know is not reason enough to bring them back.
