Netflixs newest murder mystery revels in its soapy, overdramatic elements.
In addition to being hilariously terrible, Fannings role mirrors a career twist from over a decade ago.
Her characters are typically highly likable, kind, and protagonists.
Since then, Fanning hasnt had any significant villain roles.
Summary
The Twilight Saga is a paranormal romance series that ignited a cultural phenomenon.
Her villain in that movie is also more nuanced because she is also a victim of Charles Manson.
As such, audiences didnt really get to see her ability to play a truly evil character.
Interestingly,this is the opposite of her role in Netflixs 2024 crime thriller,Ripley.
She immediately clocks Tom as the killer, tracking his behavior.
Marge wants to expose Toms crimes and see him punished.
These two roles, compared to one another, show Dakota Fannings incredible acting range.
