As senseis changed dojos inCobra Kai, the students were also shuffled around.
Going into theSekai Taikai inCobra Kaiseason 6, most of the primary teen characters were fighting for Miyagi-Do.
This big switch-up meant that the four primary fighters ofCobra Kaiwere back where they had started.
Sam and Robby remained with Miyagi-Do, while Miguel and Tory were the top fighters for Cobra Kai.

On the other hand, Sam and Robby were Daniel’s first real students back inCobra Kaiseason 1.
By restoring this line-up, the ending ofCobra Kairestored the balance of the series.
This is important considering the emphasis theKarate Kidspinoff has always placed on balance.
