The familiar All-Valley Tournament introduced weapons and skill matches, which were also relatively straightforward.
The Sekai Taikai does things a bit differently.
In the end,the team left standing with the most points will be the winner.
The first event of the Sekai Taikai is called the"Captain’s War."

All six members of four dojos hit the mat at one time for a nothing-held-back brawl.
If a fighter hits the mat, they are out and must leave their teammates to continue fighting.
However,if one of the two team captains hits the mat, then the whole team is out.

Captains who make it through as the last ones standing earn points that carry into the next event.
At one point, Miguel is seen fighting two opponents at once.
This is the final points event before the Sekai Taikai elimination rounds.
If one is knocked off, then they are out.
However, another teammate can climb up on the platform to replace them.
The first team to three points (three hits) wins.
The catch here is that a fighter can tap in another teammate to trade places with them.

The four teams with the mostwins in this round proceed toCobra Kaiseason 6’s semifinal round.
At the time, that would have been the Iron Dragons and Cobra Kai.
However, things didn’t get that far inCobra Kaiseason 6, part 2.
Tension quickly grew, and a massive brawl broke out when one of the previously eliminated dojos attacked.
Daniel LaRusso is the last hold-out.
It takes both Johnny and Silver coming to him to convince him to enact the tournament again.
Touches that are not blocked count as one point, but knocking an opponent down counts as 10 points.
A complete knockout wins the round for the fighter.
Here, the first fighter to three points wins instead of offering unlimited points during the round.
That makes the tie-breaker round a real nail-biter.
It also makes the Sekai Taikai essentially anyone’s game when it comes to the final two teams.
It also means the audience gets to see Johnny Lawrence fight forCobra Kaione last time.
