Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Yellowjackets season 3, episodes 1-9.
We know she’s intrigued by Callie and her power; she says as much at theend ofYellowjacketsseason 2.
And Walter could have made a mistake with the DNA, as Callie’s would partially match Shauna’s.
All these scenes could stem from the revelation that Callie is responsible for Lottie’s death.
However, I’m not certain this holds up.
OnReddit, severalviewers believe that Melissa and Alex might be working togetherto avenge Hannah’s death.

Perhaps that’s why Melissa kills Van inYellowjacketsseason 3, episode 9.
And her leaving the body behind makes it seem like she doesn’t care if her wife finds it.
She certainly seems to have darker motives and plans than she has let on.
Andit’s possible she sent that tape knowing it would bring the other survivors directly to her and Alex.
And the trailer for theYellowjacketsseason 3 finale shows her pulling a knife on someone.
It also sees her lamenting, “She’s going to end up being the last one standing.”
She’ll probably track down Melissa and be forced to choose which version of herself she wants to embrace.
Natalie’s realization that Misty broke the transponder explains her contempt for Misty in the adult timeline.
However,I don’t think Natalie will tell the other girls what Misty has done.
And this explains why Misty reveres Natalie inYellowjackets' present-day story.
Crystal turns on Misty when she learns the truth, but Natalie protects and works with her.
She may be appalled by what Misty did, but Misty reads her reaction as friendship.
