AlthoughSupernaturalmay have had its final season, its legacy is far from over.
But some misunderstandings can be perceived consistently in the fandom and beyond it.
After all,Supernaturalis no niche endeavor.
And some people just can’t help making incorrect assumptions about it.
As longtime fans of the series know, it is successful because it is good.

Global TV had never seen a dark fantasy steeped in so much Americana.
Created by Eric Kripke, Supernatural is a fantasy/drama series that premiered in 2005. The series follows the adventures of Dean and Sam Winchester - two men wronged by supernatural beings as children who now spend their days investigating and hunting demons, ghosts, and monsters across the United States.
Supernatural introduced a huge array of villains, and a good number of those were foiled by simple salt.
Digging into real-world lore can explain why.
Supernaturalhit every spot, it was hard not for fans to remain loyal.
There was nothing not to love.
Andthe show reeled fans in with its conspiratorial plotlines, extended via season-end cliffhangers.
Crowley was a truly lovable villain and earned many fans' undying loyalty when he became a hero.
Watching Crowley’s journey from villain to hero was one of the highlights of the show.
Crowley’s redemption was one of the best examples of character development in modern TV.
Unfortunately,Crowley leftSupernaturalon bad terms.
Crowley died in the season 12 finale, sacrificing himself to seal Lucifer in Hell.
This was, in many ways, a great end to his arc.
However,the character had a lot more life left in himand Mark Sheppard agreed.
He believed the show had been trying to write him out for a while.
Dean was a gun-toting, Chevy-driving hunter who operated best on the job and on the road.
Logically,Sam Winchester actually had more love interests than DeaninSupernatural.
Hard rock went hand in hand with this tone and aesthetic.
However,Kripke’s planning was loosein all kinds of ways.
The last episode ofSupernaturalseason 15 was released on November 19, 2020.
The writing room worked out the show’s demon and angel structure as it went along.
However, it isthe Winchester brothers inSupernaturalwho kept coming back to life, not everyone else.
And this served a special purpose, steeped as the show was in religious myth.
Supernaturalcan be streamed on Netflix in the U.S. and Amazon Prime Video in the U.K.
Naturally, this involved a few deaths along the way.
Some characters made it back toSupernaturalas ghosts, memories, or visions.
However, it certainly looked like a lot more.
Dean was more subtle.
There would be noSupernaturalwithout Sam or Dean.
Duality has always been central toSupernatural’ssuccess.
Not only were Sam and Dean two sides of the same coin, Michael and Lucifer were, too.
Sam was not the main character ofSupernaturaland neither was Dean.
Meanwhile, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles expressed their enthusiasm for a season 16 numerous times.
Another season, a reboot, or anotherSupernaturalspinoff seriesdoes seem likely, even despiteThe Winchestersgetting canceled after one season.
The entire show had so much more to offer than this.
