AlthoughAkirahas not yet been adapted into live-action, many have tried to do it. That said, 2012’sChroniclemay have come close. But maybe it is a good thing thatAkiranever got an actual live-action adaptation. PerhapsAkira’slegacy is best left as powerful as it currently is. However, the film was also the firsttheatrically-releasedAlienmoviesinceAlien: Covenant. to get to avoid this controversy,Alien: Romulusshould have utilized Michael Fassbender in this scene. Moreover, Fassbender’s inclusion would have felt more organic, rather than relying too heavily on nostalgia. Therefore, Fassbender appearing - who was vital to those two movies - would have fit thematically. Fassbender’s droids, specifically David, were fascinated with the origins of Xenomorphs....
